Holiday cover rarely provides the most glamorous jobs in the world, and in this case of looking after Stuart's inbox while he's away sunning himself, we've found ourselves opening the sort of emails our spam filter usually deals with: 'Sex Empire – a revolutionary adult casual game for mobile'. Quite.

Clearly Stu is well used to such entertainment, having "discovered" Digital Chocolate's Strip Club Manager, while nonchalantly "browsing" the internet.

Sex Empire seems rather more hardcore, however. "All guests are touchable and hence undressable, which brings the best girls of the town at your disposal, not to mention the possibility to be promoted from sex-waiter to a manager," the press release from Russian developer New Edge informs us.

Quite what a sex-waiter does, we have no idea. We live such secluded lives.

However, having studied the screenshots (nonchalantly of course), it appears the game is a mix of carnal knowledge and Diner Dash. Hence the sex-waiter is a waiter who seats, undresses and supplies the objects of intercourse, where required, for his demanding customers, before getting the guests dressed and the beds ready for the next horny pairing.

Indeed, as your empire starts to grow, so the game expands, offering larger beds for threesomes to foursomes – more frantic action basically. Bonuses and daily high-scores will be your reward, and thankfully you won't go blind watching as censorious black boxes hides the physical machinations of the sprite couples.

"The guys at NewEdge didn't just do another adult game," says Olga Znamenskaya, director at publisher Alawar NewEdge Mobile. "They've created a game in the casual erotic genre, and the great response we've from players indicates that casual ero-games are just what the market needed."

Sex Empire is now available in English, German and Russian versions, and no doubt our very own Stuart Dredge will be reviewing all of them, immediately on his return.
