They're beneficial to developers due to the additional downloads, and to players because, well, it’s free isn’t it?.
For today only (though, we’re yet to see anyone rigidly stick to such a short period of gratuity), Silver award winning Sentinel 2: Earth Defense from UK developer Origin 8 is free for all.
Yes, it’s one of the innumerable tower defence titles on iPhone, but it’s a great one.
