I don't think that the ratio of those who pirate is greater than those who don't. Nintendo and Sony take hits as pirating erupts but doesn't cripple them. That Mutant Mudds guy is serious and if Nintendo makes such a bold statement we'll be sure to see less pirates.
Sadly, I'm actually excited about this. If Nintendo wasn't such a difficult company to understand market-wise I'd not even care for this news. But I knew this was coming. The second they allowed USB/SD ports on their system Homebrew exploded.
