![]() Honestly, I'd rather pay for the game on the App Store and have a variety of songs already pre-installed with the app, at least I would actually have a variety of songs - "To Zanarkand" and "One-Winged Angel" are good songs, granted but it's minimal choice. The same applies to Final Fantasy Dimensions: I'd rather pay, let's say, £10.99 or something and be guaranteed the full package than rather it being free, and I have to buy the rest of the story - making it more money than it's worth.

![]() Yup. Classic Square Enix pulling a stupid move. Offer more up front, and maybe I'd give it a try. In it's current state, there is absolutely no way I'll even try it. Too bad, SE. You could be making more money by offering more for free. At least from me, anyway.

![]() Thanks for letting us know about this, I'm definitely steering well clear of this!
This is my biggest beef with freemium apps, it's never clear how much it will end up costing in order to "complete" the game, sure we get a breakdown of how much each in app purchase costs but we never get an idea of how much the total will be if a player intends to see the game through til the end. If app vendors carry on like this, then I have a feeling sooner or later, consumer groups like Which? or even BBCs Watchdog will start putting pressure on Apple to force app developers into giving more clarity on their app descriptions. It needs to happen, I've defended Square Enix in the past over app pricing, but I'm sorry, this is an absolute scam, I'm glad your site raised the issue over Gameloft's My Little Pony game potentially costing at least £125 to complete the main story mode, again there's something very wrong when a piece of garbage like that costs more than big budget console games. I bought The Room Pocket last night for my iPhone, it was a free download, but it has one simple self explanatory in app purchase marked as "full game upgrade", it's very simple, I know I'm initially downloading a demo and by paying £1.49 I get the full game. We need more of this and less of the above on the AppStore Joined:

![]() Every IAP should be $0.99 and the full game unlock should be $15-$20. $100 for everything is criminal!

![]() What do you take us for, Mr Bez! Of course we checked that! No - the songs in the bundles cannot be bought separately.

![]() I haven't downloaded this yet, so may be wrong, but I was under the impression that the song bundles contained the same songs that could be purchased individually. Aren't you sure you aren't double counting a bit there?
