If you choose 'none' for payment method how can you buy apps. Or does this only work for free apps?

nope not true. I have a US and UK account and theres no issue changing accounts except when re-downloading purchased items, if you do it wiht the UK account then you cant re-download purchased items on the US account for 90 days but you can still switxh accounts and buy new stuff

Urm, what's the point in changing the flag if you're gonna be making a new account? Step 1 is therefore redundant.

Also, all this can be done on a iPad or iPhone.

And AFAIK, none is only an if you use a code.
