I'll agree with the sentiment here. When an Android game comes out, you might be lucky to see it covered here. And if so, they just link to their iOS article on it (which unfortunately is often an old article and sometimes updates and changes since the iOS release are not reflected in the outdated post or review). Look at how few of the many Android sales are listed above, yet they flag it for the Android section. I look and see nothing new. Thank you, snapper, for the updates.

I agree about the lack of effort on Android. If I wanted iOS news, there is a much better site for that (I'll be kind and not mention the name, however) with a more thriving community.

However, only my wife owns an iOS device, I never plan on owning one. I originally joined here for what I expected to be a fair and balanced report on ALL platforms equally, and yet Android releases are fairly glossed over, reviews for Android ports just reference the iOS review, and are quite disgraceful.

Please, reconsider your treatment/reporting on Android releases and reviews. If things don't change, I just might as well not bother reading this site honestly. I find more info out just browsing the Google Play store in the morning, checking the Trending section of Apps to see what is new. You spend way too much time on iOS reviews and news. This is POCKETGAMER, not iOSGamer plus some other shit if we feel like it/have some spare time to kill.

Hold on a moment, I could have sworn this was the ANDROID section! It's very lazy of PG to push iOS here when ipad and phone have their OWN section!

I come here for ANDROID news not Apple!!!

Android deals:
I recommend the AppSales app on Google Play as this gives you good updates on any apps on sale.

For example: 2-3 days ago, EA had Game of Life, Real Racing 2, FIFA 12, Monopoly, Tetris, Madden NFL, Tiger Woods on sale at 62p for 1 day only but now only Dead Space and Plants vs Zombies are still on sale.

I picked up some of these apps using the AppSales app.

That's a good question. Some major companies will offer sales across joth platforms at once, but not always. You would think more of this would match up between the two now, since Android's tablet market share has grown. The Play store is still evolving as well, and a few companies are starting to treat android better. Hopefully Android users vote with their wallets and support those companies.

Agreed. Shouldn't really have Android in the title it appears.

Though it does beg the question: Why do the two ecosystems behave so differently? You have apps dedicated to tracking apps that drop in price or go free on iOS. These things happen daily, hourly if you count all the low quality throw-away apps. You don't see any kind of budging on Android prices hardly ever, free or discount. Why has the Play Market, which is just as congested with apps, not followed suit with similar pricing strategy/wars as its iOS counterpart?
