Yeah - my mistake. Sorry about that. Modern Combat 4 is £4.99 in the UK, and $6.99 in the US. Boom, I just saved you three bucks.

Just wanted a clarification:

You guys have the price listed at £4.99/$9.99, but TouchArcade has the price listed at $5.99. Which is it?

I suspect TouchArcade may have gotten their price mixed up, possibly a conversion issue from another currency from another source, but it would be good to clarify this.

Hey Couch

We haven't heard anything about Android, other than it will follow after iOS. Sorry dude - iOS getting games first is just the ways things are. Paid games generally sell better on iOS (way more piracy on Android) and it's much easier to develop for.

We'll update the story when we know about about Android.

So Gameloft finally decided to up the price of MC games from $6.99 to $9.99. It was only a matter of time. People would be willing to buy MC4 for 9.99 and Gameloft makes more profits so its a win-win for Gameloft. MC4 is going to be epic!

I meant to say that the Palm Pre allowed me to have multiple open apps at the same time. I've yet to see any phone do that...other than multiple websites. These new phones are not the multi-taskers they are said to be. Compared to the old Pre, these are toys...and expensive ones at that!
No offense to IOS users out there, but I found Apple's need to control what you use or watch in your phone to be a bit constraining...nit to mention the hardware broke easily compared to my Galaxy S3. This is the best phone (since the Pre) I've used yet...and STILL I get screwed regarding old apparently and new apparently release dates. I guess more people use the iPhone for games rather than true smartphone use...and that's why MC4 comes out on IOS first. What b.s.!
Well...here I go...waiting once again!!!! Arrrrrgggghhhh!!!!!!

Mark...has there been ANY idea of a release date for Android? I'm sitting around with a Galaxy S3 that the vast majority of "cool" games I purchased on my Galaxy S2 will not work on. Now I have to find out that IOS users get the game first? This is complete rubbish as the majority of smartphones are Android OS...NOT IOS as Apple would have people believe.
I understand that there are just too many versions of Android phones around, and Apple only has one hardware package...but come on! They make or sound as if having a different Windows OS would preclude one fronlm using all Windows software...when this is not the case!
Why should Android OS be any different? When I had an Evo 4g, ALL software worked on all Android devices...now it's become a pain in the behind to buy a new phone because at least 50% of what you purchased on your last phone doesn't work on the new one! Usually, when an OS gets an upgrade, all previous programs work...only better!
I'm getting sick of Android's b.s. and since I refuse to purchase an iCrap again...where does that leave me? Windows phone? Ha ha...that's laughable.
It's a sad day when the most promising phone (the Palm Pre) was ousted by the Apple and Google behemoths because they knew the Pre was a better concept. I still haven't seen a "smartphone" that allows me to use the internet while on a call...or one that allows me to open multiple apparently at the same time.

Well...enough complaining...it is what it is. But what's the scoop on the Android version of MC4? I've been diligently checking each week...sometimes (foolishly) daily...foe this darn game to be released!
Give us a timeframe, perhaps?

Thanks!

Gameloft games have always run fantastic on my IPad, so I expect that MC4 multiplayer should be smooth, however, on Android, MC3 is shite on my HTC sensation, performance is poor, and its not only Gameloft games, GTA 3, Real Racing 2 are just a few other games that don't run so smoothly, I've killed apps, released as much memory as possible, it's still not perfect.

And it will likely be just as half-baked and glitchy as all the previous versions. I thought, by paying gameloft repeatedly for bad games; that they would eventually improve their quality (if even by mistake ) but no; their games are junk. Gameloft games are just plain junk. They seem to never test them under real-world conditions. -Like on phones with a few extra apps taking up memory (like, say r800x models). However they are testing the Xperia Play versions of their games is not realistic.

Ahh well, either way, lets hope the multiplayer shines, and the maps are good. Hopefully we get maps as good as Divide and Backup from MC3.

Really RazJUK? I've found the control in NOVA 3 the best yet. I'm hoping they'll be more like NOVA 3's controls.

It's going to be a great day for IOS tomorrow. MC4, Vice City & Baldurs Gate.
I love the multiplayer in MC3 and I still play it. Hopefully Gameloft keep the hackers away and keep the controls and gameplay similar to MC3 rather than NOVA 3. NOVA 3 multiplayer was decent but the shooting was nowhere near as fluid as MC3.
Vice City & Baldurs Gate, although first day purchases, may not get a look in until next week:)
