![]() thanx for the replies guys. My favorite thing about iOS/Android gaming is that the gamer is within arm's reach of the dev team. Its a breath of fresh air that pressure is not put on the player to spend extra cash to progress.
I think that the best example of optional DLC is the Infinity Blade series - the option to make IGP's is there but for the seasoned/skilled gamer it is unnecessary. And as a video game enthusiast, I really appreciate this. A quality Pokemon type game on iOS would do very very well and I look forward to seeing this on the AppStore. I will be providing support in leu of the information provided by responses. thanx tim Joined:

![]() You can get in on the beta, first 100 backers $50 and up. Any amount you back with, you get double that in in-game money, along with any of the other rewards.

![]() Hello, Micromon Dev here, the game will be freemium (this might change, depending on how the campaign goes) and just like Anthony said, you will not be required to pay a cent in order to finish the game with ease, we will just sell perks like new avatars, some convenience items like cool vehicles, etc... but we won't by any means force you to pay to get the full experience. Thanks for bringing this up! if you have any feedback/questions just let us know! Cheers!!!

![]() Hey Tim,
Micromon will be a free-to-play title but according to its description you won't "be required to purchase anything in order to finish the game with ease". Plus, if you pledge $5 (the smallest amount to qualify for a reward) to the campaign you get $10 worth of in-game currency. Joined:

![]() @klouud I agree.
I read this yesterday at http://www.leveloralife.com/micromon-kickstarter/ and they brought up the fact that the microtransaction aspect is very off putting and rather zynga-like. I'm with you, I'd rather pay a one off fee. Joined:

![]() So how exactly does the in-game purchasing program work? I don't like RPG's where you are pressured to dump money into it to progress like Zenonia 4. I'm not a fan of RPG's that require massive amounts of grinding, so RPG's that prompt me to dump money into them to progress more quickly are probably going to do nothing but frustrate me. I played Zen4 for about an hour before I deleted it. IMO Zen2 was the best of the series.
Anywho, I'd support this project if the devs are going to actually charge for the game instead of making it fremium. So that is the real question. Will the game cost $4.99-9.99 or will it be fremium? And, if I pledge money I would like a free copy of the game. I have no problem putting money into the pot if the game is not going to be fremium and I get a free copy. If not then good luck and God speed (without my support) tim |
