Our Hard Lick Sports' studio development team has been working hard towards completion of a novel "11 versus 11" American football simulation game for many months. We believe that it will be the first such advanced sports simulation ever built using the Unity 3D platform. Hard Lick recently launched a $250,000 Kickstarter campaign, which will fund major enhancements to the graphics and animation making the game a total immersion experience. We are really testing new ground on Kickstarter with a high-end sports sim like this, since most of the successful Kickstarter projects have been focused on fantasy role playing and adventure game genres. We shall see...It would be nice to get some exposure on Pocket Gamer.

It's a shame that Kickstarter's staff doesn't seem to like American football. Our Hard Lick Sports iFootball is going to be awesome. Search for Hard Lick on Kickstarter and take a look. It is a big budget, full 11 v. 11 football smith a punch!

it is built on Unity3D and will be available for free on iPhone, iPad, and high-performance Android devices using the Nvidia Tegra chipsets.

Hello friends!

Please help us with game "Inner Dream" at KickStarter: http://kck.st/HWjj5s
This is a very special adventure game about living in world of dreams. It is very atmospheric - 80% of game is made from photos and music. Hope you'll like to help us - KickStarter is our only chance to make it real.

Shame Kickstarter is not available for us Europeans.. it seems strange that it is still limited to US only projects (US bank account required). I would have tried to post my project for funding otherwise.

Micromon has just started a campaign as well, it's a pokemon style monster collecting game for iOS. Battle with your monsters, evolve them, great art style, looks very promising. I've played plenty on iPhone so far, none have gotten it right, but Micromon looks like it's on the right track.

Banner Saga also made extra funding targets to port to iOS:

""We will be porting the game to iPad and Linux after our initial release. We cannot provide free keys for the iOS version due to restraints from Apple, but we will be providing a free Linux version to anyone who requests it in the survey we send out at the end of the Kickstarter campaign. Both of these will be available as soon as we are able to begin porting the game; post-release, but before the second part of the game.""

Kickstarter is ideal for small projects -> portable games. It does look like gamers will support such projects but not if they become too large. I am not sure eg Republique will reach it's v high target given it's marketing only to portable devices even though it looks v good and has strong credentials and is one of the most interesting in the above list?

Star Command looks like a great fit for both kickstarter and for mobile, given size of project and the genre of the game fits the platform v well, but taken in different directions and genre blending than eg kairosoft. ^_^

Should see more iOS/Android Kickstarter projects given the good fit here (imo) of reachable funding targets; unusual genres and innovative ideas using mobile features and design considerations.
