Xbox Live comes to iPhone

A new iPhone application lets you check in with your Xbox Live buddies on the go. It's called iXboxLive, and it costs just 59p.

The app lets you see your buddy list and what they're currently playing, as well as their Gamer Score, Reputation and location, as well as what they've been playing recently.

There are limitations, such as not being able to message friends, and only being able to track 12 or so before the initial loading time slows right down.

But still, it's a good sign of what can be done with Microsoft's Xbox Community Developer SDK.

We wouldn't be surprised to see more such iPhone apps in the coming months. What about Microsoft making its own, for example?
