At one time, voodoo was a Caribbean religion based on Roman Catholic rituals and the animistic beliefs of enslaved Dahomean labourers; a fairly serious combination of cultural factors. These days it's a fallback plot solution for an episode of The X-Files and all round good family fun with smiling little dolls and blunt pins (so the kids don't hurt themselves while practising black magic).

Now, all the fun of the Haitian spiritual communion has come to the iPhone in oeFun's iVoodoo application. You can give the voodoo dolls a face from your handset's photo library or by taking a picture directly, then inflict your magic upon your unwitting mark by skewering their likeness with Positive, Negative, Wealth, Power, Success, Spirituality and Love needles.

Whether or not you get your money back if a person's eyes don't burn from their head after you've worked your hoodoo upon them, or they fail to fall hopelessly in love with Norman Tebbit after you've filled them full of wealth, power and love pins is unclear at the moment.

Small pictures of the Pocket Gamer staff can be found at the bottom of each page should you wish to test out your new found dark powers.

Spanner Spencer
Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
