EA Mobile has launched Yahtzee for the iPod. We're a bit late on this one, but it's available now on the iTunes Store for £3.99.

The game offers several modes and rule sets to play, while also giving you the option to play on your own, against a friend, or against an iPod-controlled opponent.

In the latter case, there are various skill levels to provide a lasting challenge as you take on more difficult foes.

EA Mobile reckons the game will appeal to Yahtzee fiends and newbies alike, with the latter benefitting from numerous help menus and hints to explain how it all works.

And, of course, you can play your own music as the soundtrack, and check out a wealth of stats on how you've been playing – two features that are common to iPod games.

We'll be reviewing Yahtzee imminently, so click 'Track It!' if you'd like an alert when we do.
