EA Mobile certainly isn't wasting any time rolling out the fruits of its licensing deal with Hasbro. The publisher has just released Monopoly for iPod. The game is on sale through Apple's iTunes Store now, costing £3.99 here in the UK.

It's classic Monopoly, not the modern Monopoly Here & Now revamp. The look and feel will be familiar to anyone who's played the mobile games, though: you get an isometric board and a slick interface to manage your property empire.

The game includes a solo mode, or the ability to play against up to four friends by passing your iPod around. There's a choice of three difficulty levels, and the controls have been redesigned to work with the iPod scroll-wheel.

Oh, and you can tweak the rules according to your preferences too. The game continues Apple's policy of releasing casual, accessible games for iPod, rather than going down a hardcore route.

Given that these are mainly music devices and in the hands of tens of millions of non-gamers, that seems sensible to us. Head to iTunes if you want to get a piece of the Monopoly action.
