We're starting the New Year with Milkmaid of the Milky Way, a visually stunning pixel-art point-and-click puzzler.

Pick up a copy of Milkmaid of the Milky Way on the App Store.

Laura Egri

You can tell the game's inspiration comes from 90s puzzle adventures. The gameplay is clear and the story is developed at a great pace.

The puzzles aren't much of a struggle to solve but are enjoyable nonetheless - it's definitely worth getting.

Kainen Ryan

This is a fast-flowing point and click adventure that features several hours of enjoyable gameplay. The graphics are fantastic and retro, and the music and sound effects are on point.

Overall, a great game. It's just a shame it doesn't have screen orientation, otherwise it's perfect.

Quincy Jones

It's a good point and click adventure that captures old school vibes well, but the puzzles aren't hard enough to slow you down.

There's a good sense of humour running throughout and it's surprisingly enjoyable to hear every line of dialogue rhyme.

Tom Clark

The graphics remind me of classic 8-bit adventures and the storyline is enthralling. The music also helps set a retro atmosphere and an overall enjoyable experience.

It's been good so far. Anyone who's a fan of the genre would like this one.

Oksana Ryan

Looks like a classic point and click, with retro graphics and good music to boot.  It does fix an age old-problem of point and click though, and that's the lack of sprint. Double tapping allows for quick navigation through scenes, making gameplay more enjoyable.

All in all, a fantastic start to 2017. A brilliant effort.

The App Army is Pocket Gamer's very own community of mobile game experts. Each week, we provide them with a bunch of free codes and early access to the hottest upcoming games so they can provide their thoughts in features like this.
