GDC 2010: Gamma’s six new One Button Games
|

In case you didn’t know, Gamma is an indie developers' event showcasing the best one button iPhone experiences at the Game Developers Conference (GDC).

This year, Gamma IV asked that the submissions - aside from having to utilise only one button - must adhere to Gamma’s ‘new arcade’ format.

Over 150 games were submitted, of which six will be showcased at this year’s GDC event via large screen projections, with music from Starpause (SF), Baiyon (Kyoto), Class Prez (ATX), and more, catering for all your head-nodding, background music needs.

The winners were:

Silent Skies by Spyeart
Poto & Cabenga by Honeyslug
4Fourths by Mikengreg
B.U.T.T.O.N. (Brutally Unfair Tactics Totally OK Now) by Copenhagen Game Collective
GAMMA IV – THE GAME by cactus
Faraway by Steph Thirion

According to kokoromi, “This year presented a significant curatorial challenge for us, given the exceptional quality and diversity of submissions to our ‘one-button games’".
