Tesco Mobile reveals iPhone 4 tariffs, 12 month contracts available
|

Four down, two to go. With iPhone 4 due to arrive tomorrow (and in some cases today) Tesco has joined Orange, O2, and Vodafone in revealing its tariffs.

The tariff details are detailed below. On the whole it seems to be roughly in line with the other tariffs, pound for pound. For example, a £45/m 24 month contract entails paying £19 for the handset and getting infinite minutes and texts. On Vodafone, £45/m for two years will cost you £29 for the handset and give you 1200 minutes. Tesco is cheaper, but there's not an awful lot in it.

However, Tesco offers something that no other operator has offered, or is likely to offer: an almost unheard of 12 month contract. This means that if you're prepared to pay between £229 and £429 outright for your iPhone 4, you could be free of your legal relationship with it by the time the next iPhone arrives.

Tesco Clubcard owners may also be pleased to know that you get 1000 extra points for buying an iPhone 4 on contract, triple points for every £1 you spend on your monthly bill. If you go with a PAYG tariff, you get triple points every time you top up.
