Fifth-generation iPhone set to launch outside June/July timeframe
AT&T rep suggests it'll arrive later than usual
Each iteration of Apple's iPhone has arrived during the early months of summer - the original iPhone hit the market on June 29th 2007, and every update since has landed there or thereabouts.
This time, however, according to MacRumors, Apple has no plans to release the fifth-generation model during that period.
The site reports that one of its readers received an email from an AT&T representative that stated: "Apple has informed us that they do not plan to release the iPhone in the June to July timeframe."
The company rep added that AT&T had "not been given a release time for the new phone", but that it would "release this information on our website when it is available to us."
Reports suggest that the new model may well be unveiled at Apple's traditionally iPod-focused event this coming September, though so far these rumours are unsubstantiated.
