The top iOS and Android sales this week - (November 12th)
Rayman Fiesta Run, Space Marshals 2, forma.8, and more
Ding ding ding! The metaphorical sales bell is ringing, and there's a good ol' mish-match of titles on offer today. From awesome RPGs like Tempest and Dead Shell to forma.8, and there's still time to catch a couple of Rayman games for pennies a pop.
Of course, just because these sales are on today it doesn't mean they'll still be shaking their stuff later this week, so bear in mind that at the time of this article going up these are all accurate. No doubt there'll be more cropping up as the week goes on, so we'll keep a watchful eye out. 'Til then, have a nosey and see if anything takes your fancy.
1
Dead Shell: Roguelike RPG
Command an elite assault squad through a deadly labyrinthine settlement called Plutonia, the federation's most remote colony. Since all of its inhabitants went radio-silent after sending out an emergency signal, it's up to you and your squad to check it out, deal with the imminent danger, and kick a whole lot of demon butt.
2
forma.8 GO
As a curious take on metroidvanian action-adventure, you play as the small exploration probe, forma.8 after being stranded on an alien planet. Before you can stop to think about yourself, however, you've got a mission to complete – find a lost power source before it falls into the wrong hands. From boss fights, through open worlds, and ancient secrets, there's a lot to see here and plenty to enjoy.
3
Majesty: Fantasy Kingdom Sim
This is a battle simulator with more free will than the average title. Though you can bark your orders out at a variety of fighter-types, they've all got their own lives to lead and aren't going to be budging their butts without a good reason. This indirect strategy game will have you scratching your head at some points, but there's plenty to have fun with here.
4
Rayman Fiesta Run
Yep, Rayman's still on sale for now. In Fiesta Run you're sprinting across gorgeous landscapes with a lively fiesta theme, from its music to its environment. Leap on cocktail umbrellas, punch piñatas, bounce on citrusy limes, and more with a super-easy control system and addictive gameplay across 75 levels. Vamonos!
5
Rayman Jungle Run
If you're not feeling the lively landscapes of Fiesta Run, perhaps sprinting through the jungle might be right up your street. With a bit more of an Uncharted-vibe, you need to run away from tumbling rocks, leap across great caverns, avoid being crushed by stone structures, and make sure you're not caught out by any bosses if you can. It also got bigger and better with a recent update, bringing 25 more levels into play. Pure luxury.
6
S&T: Medieval Wars Deluxe
Board game nerds, this one's for you. Well, if you're a fan of medieval conquest strategy, I mean. We all know about European wars of history, but now you get to experience them first-hand as you go up against some of the most ruthless conquerors. Enjoy four campaigns and 25 missions all in all in this turn-based tactical game.
7
Space Marshals 2
Play as the gruff space sheriff, Burton, as he takes on the galaxy's rowdiest criminals in this top-down shooter. Unlike you'd expect most western/space ranger shooters to go, you can't just shoot your weapons willy-nilly. No, you've got to use stealth, the right combination of gear, and the correct tactics to do away with your enemies and live to fight another day.
8
Tempest: Pirate Action RPG
Whether you fancy playing in single, multiplayer, or going up against others in PvP battles, Tempest has you donning your finest captain's hat and rallying your men in a grand, open-sea adventure. What's a captain without a classy ship and knee-trembling arsenal? Not a pirate captain, that's for sure. You need canons, guns, armour, mortars, flame throwers, all the rigging, and more if you're to be ready for meeting bloodthirsty foes head-on. And a shanty wouldn't go amiss.
9
Templar Battleforce Elite
Army building and strategic combat is what makes Templar Battleforce Elite a – er – force to be reckoned with. Trudge through desolate rooms and take on wave after wave of enemies in your Leviathan battle mech. Upgrade your skills and armour, and turn yourself into an unstoppable killing machine… or die trying. We gave this one a Gold Award in its review, thinking it was very fine indeed.
