THQ Wireless forms Fruitfall relationship

THQ Wireless thinks we need a new puzzle game. And given the popularity – as well as the ubiquity – of the genre on mobile, who's to say Fruitfall isn't it?

Comprising of over 100 unique levels and promising an intuitive one-button play style on all supported phones, THQ says Fruitfall is that most elusive of things – the easy to play but difficult to master Holy Grail.

The aim – which, it's fair to say, is not going to convince the judges at the next 'Award for Innovation in Mobile Games' ceremony – is to line up three fruits of the same kind so that they vanish.

The novel hook though is you do this by rotating the screen, both clockwise and anti clockwise, and gravity does the rest.

Fruitfall has already proved itself on PC, where it's been available as a download game for some time. We'll try and grab a closer look later this month, when it's released for a wide range of phones and on all the major networks.
