Okay, so simply porting old arcade or console games onto mobile can be unimaginative. And it doesn't always work, particularly when the controls have been designed for a proper joystick, rather than a mobile keypad.

But that doesn't stop us getting excited when one of our childhood obsessions makes the leap. Such is the case with Capcom's Final Fight.

If the name is drawing a blank, let us enlighten you. Final Fight was a horizontally-scrolling beat-'em-up featuring a trio of big, mean characters called Cody, Guy and Haggar. It was the Grand Theft Auto of its time, only without the driving, radio stations, gangster missions and… oh alright, it wasn't much like GTA at all.

Anyway, Capcom is now bringing Final Fight to mobile, and it's out this month! And if it's not as good as we remember it, we'll be weeping hot, salty tears of nostalgia.
