Even Chantelle could have seen this one coming, but publisher Eidos Interactive has nevertheless finally officially announced the forthcoming debut of modern gaming’s most recognizable character on the PSP.

Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend returns to the series’ roots, with the shapely archeologist spending most of her time doing what she does best: raiding perilous ancient tombs in order to steal priceless artifacts. Hey, let’s call it what it is.

To guarantee she succeeds, Ms Croft has an entirely new arsenal at her disposal. Most useful of these is likely to be her magnetic grappling device, which should ensure she retrieves the relics other archeologists cannot reach.

Due this spring, the PSP version includes a number of exclusive game modes and plenty of ‘Bonus Reward Content’. And, while we’ve yet to get details of what these will be, we do know you can at the very least expect an adventure as lengthy as the game’s name.
