Torino 2006 - The Official Mobile Phone Game of the Olympic Games, to give its full name, is scheduled for a January 2006 launch before the Games themselves take place in February. It’s a milestone game, not in that it’s possibly the longest name ever for a game, but that it's the first mobile phone game to receive the blessing of the International Olympic Committee, the official body that oversees everything related to the Games. Torino 2006 is being released by I-Play and will aim to capture the action and excitement of the Winter Olympics by offering players a selection of sports in which to compete. These will include skiing, ski jumping, curling and bobsleighing, and you’ll be able to represent your country within the game, too, leading it to glory in the medals table.

The 2006 Winter Games are taking place in Turin, Italy between the 10th and 26th of February, 2006, and represent the twentieth time they've been held.
