Just about every major console publisher is getting in on the mobile act in one way or another. And now Activision's name can be added to the list (or more accurately returned, as it previously published titles via Jamdat) thanks to a new deal with Infospace.

Fresh from signing up a raft of Eidos games last month, Infospace has added a clutch of Activision's top titles including two Tony Hawk games to its ever-growing games roster.

Mobile versions of the skating games Tony Hawk's Project 8 and Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam are in the works, and they'll be joined by the Wild West themed shooter Gun and a selection of classic retro games such as Pitfall 1 & 2, Commando, Freeway, Keystone Kapers, Seaquest and Spider Fighter.

With all that on his plate it's a wonder Infospace's mobile and online media president Stephen Davis had time to utter: "We're excited to work with Activision to develop the coveted Tony Hawk brand for mobile as well as their most popular sport and adventure titles, offering fans the chance to test their skills and enjoy their favourite games while on the go."

By the sounds of Activision senior biz dev director David Anderson's reply, there's likely to be plenty more to come too. "InfoSpace is a leading mobile content, distribution and delivery company, and we look forward to building a successful relationship that puts some of our top titles in the hands of mobile gamers," he said.

Naturally, you can expect updates on all these games right here as and when we get more info.
