A few months back,
our intrepid reporters sniffed out that UK developer Exient might be cooking up a 2010 edition of its successful
X2 Football series.
Well, it turns out that we were bang on the money.
X2 Football 2010 is in the final stages of development, and will hit iPhone and iPod touch soon.
Charles Chapman, technical director, said "We've taken on board a lot of feedback from users and have rewritten large parts of the game from the ground up as well as adding more features."
One such feature is a 'Dream Team' mode, as well more club teams, spiffy 3GS optimisation, smarter player AI and the much requested online multiplayer.
When we get a firm release date, we'll be sure to let you know.

lol, this was confirmed ages ago (did you guys never update X2 Football 2009 - it includes a promotion for X2 Football 2010).
