World of Tanks Blitz is out in soft launch in Scandinavia for iPad and iPhone

World of Tanks Blitz is Wargaming's attempt to bring its super successful tank-battling MMO to the mobile market, and it's just hit Scandinavia in soft launch mode.

The game is a free-to-play tactical shooter that sees you rolling out in heavy ordnance to try and shoot the cannon off your foes in 7v7 team battles.

There are 90 different tanks hailing from Germany, the USA, and Russia to unlock, spread across four different categories, and all based on real tanks from the real world.

You'll drive around eight different battle arenas that include frozen wastelands, arid deserts, and tightly packed towns.

There's the usual slosh of achievements and unlockables to get your teeth into, as well as in-game chat and the ability to invite friends into your scraps.

The game is available right now for nothing in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland, so if you're lucky enough to live in one of those countries you can have a go at driving a tank from your phone right now.

As for the rest of us, we'll let you know as soon as we hear when World of Tanks Blitz is going to be available worldwide.
