Gameloft is developing an iPhone version of its WiiWare game Wild West Guns, and will release it on the App Store in February.

The publisher announced the news on its Twitter feed - a first for the company.

The WiiWare version (pictured) came out in August last year, and saw you filling enemies full of bullets in a series of rootin' tootin' locations.

The iPhone version will, of course, use touchscreen controls rather than a Wiimote controller, although for now there's no news on what other features will make it into the iPhone edition.

Wild West Guns is the second of Gameloft's original WiiWare games to come to iPhone, following in the footsteps of TV Show King Online.
