Hunters 2 developer Rodeo Games will swing Warhammer Quest onto iOS next week
Fantasy team
So, you like Hunters 2, Rodeo Games's ace 2012 turn-based strategy game? But, well, you wish it was a little less sci-fi and a little more fantasy?
No problem.
Rodeo has been handed the task of welding its accomplished Taurus engine (that's it right there making Hunters 2's space marines do their thang) to the massive Warhammer IP. And that is precisely what it's done.
The gameplay of Rodeo Games's Warhammer Quest for iOS appears, then, to closely resemble Hunters 2's tight top-down squad-based strategy gameplay.
You move your little team of fantasy warriors around each detailed map, outflanking and bashing enemies while peeling back the fog of war and collecting loot. Precious loot.
According to the Rodeo Games staff members in the video above, you'll be granted an initial batch of four warriors to control, with three more to unlock through a day one IAP.
Warhammer Quest will surface on the App Store next week for £2.99 / $4.99. It'll run on iPhone 4s and above, and on iPad 2s and above.
Oh, and thanks to the inclusion of a natty cloud save feature, you'll be able to continue your orc-bashing fun across multiple iOS devices.
