Warhammer: Arcane Magic turns you into a wizard, pits you against gigantic beasts, on iOS soon
Spells versus fists
Games Workshop and Turbo Tape Games have announced that the turn-based strategy game Warhammer: Arcane Magic is heading to iOS soon.
It has you playing as a wizard who casts powerful spells by selecting cards. Yes, this is a digital board game.
There's something amusing about its trailer to me. Mainly the way that these huge beasts are clobbering the wizards. And the wizards manage to mostly shrug off the hit - it's impressive.
Still, considering that you aren't a bulking Space Marine (as with other Warhammer games) it's probably best to avoid going toe-to-toe with these monsters, even if it is amusing.
Arcane Magic is said to have a lengthy single-player campaign that has you searching for Arcane Power.
Along the way, you'll face classic Warhammer monsters, including Harpies, Cygors, and Ghorgons, as well as Exalted Bloodthirsters, Lords of Change, and Keepers of Secrets.
It's all set during the magical storms of the Old World and Chaos Wastelands, you see. And you get to play as such famous wizards as Teclis, Balthasar Gelt, and Wurrzag.
As said, you can expect Warhammer: Arcane Magic to drop soon. So keep an eye and an ear out for it.
