Virtual Villagers washes up onto the iPhone

We picked up on the teaser trailer for the iPhone adaptation of the popular PC/mobile game, Virtual Villagers, just the other day, and it seems the desert island-dwelling urchins are already setting up home on the App Store.

Adopting a kind of 'cyber pet' dynamic, your Virtual Villager's lives continue even when the game's turned off, so be prepared to dedicate a fair amount of time to help your castaways thrive. The mobile adaptation of Virtual Villagers went down a storm with us, so piling gaming hours into the iPhone equivalent probably won't be much of a problem.

Bear in mind it's not a small game, either, so make sure you've got about 45MB free in your bulging iPhone's memory before setting sail.

Spanner Spencer
Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
