Having mined World War II and many of the historical battles before it, Slitherine is turning its sights on the Vietnam War with its new strategy game.

It's called Vietnam...'65, so there's no mistaking when and where the game is set.

In it, you play as the commander of the US forces as you try to take on the guerrilla tactics of the Vietcong, and the mightier forces of the North Vietnamese Army.

You're waging a counter-insurgency to reclaim the Ia Drang valley, which lies on the border of Cambodia.

But the opposition isn't your only threat, as you also need to manage the support of the war back in the US. You need the hearts and minds of the home crowd to keep up morale.

So, Vietnam...'65 is a game of napalm strikes and minesweeping. But also one that tackles the questions the Vietnam War raised while it raged on back in the '60s.

You'll be able to purchase it for £9.99 / $12.99 on the UK and US App Stores at midnight.
