iOS + Android + 3DS ...

Once again, we're here to offer a sneak peek at what you can expect in the world of handheld games in the next seven days. Including a subterranean adventure and a loot-em-up shoot-em-up.

Plenty more good stuff will surface throughout the week, too, as we explore the swampy bayou of the various shops and unearth some new surprises.

You should also note that dates, platforms, and details are all subject to change.

iOS and Android I Dig It

Ancient iOS franchise I Dig It will gain a long-awaited third instalment in I Dig It: Journey to the Core on May 15th. As ever, you're digging deep into the planet, but you can now re-route (and combine) lava and water to solve puzzles and bypass obstacles in more than 100 procedurally generated levels.

The latest game from Inferno+ and Slydris developer Radiangames will be out on May 15th on iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. JoyJoy is a slick twin-stick shooter that developer Luke Schneider dug up from his Xbox Live Indie Games back catalogue.

We'll get the third episode of The Walking Dead: Season 2 on iOS on May 15th. According to Telltale, In Harm's Way will see Clementine and her group captured by a violent new leader. Will it be able to match the Gold Award-winning episode two?

We'll also get to see Toy Rush, a weird blend of tower offence, tower defence, a collectible card game, and Toy Story. This one comes from Planetary Annihilation maker Uber Entertainment and will be out worldwide on May 15th for iPhone and iPad.

There's also a nice surprise iPad game coming on Thursday that we can't wait to tell you about. Until then, though, our lips must remain sealed.

Nintendo 3DS Moon Chronicles

We previously told you about Renegade Kid's plans to revisit DS shooter Moon on Nintendo 3DS with an enhanced, and episodic, remake called Moon Chronicles. Well, the first episode will be out on the eShop on May 15th in North America, and will cost $8.99.

Here in Europe, we're getting cutesy pink platformer Kirby Triple Deluxe on the same day. If you get it from the eShop, you'll get a free download code for Game Boy gem Kirby's Dream Land 2.

PS Vita

That Vita remake of console loot-and-shoot RPG Borderlands 2 will be out this week in the US (but Europeans need to wait patiently until May 30th). The Vita version comes with extra DLC, Cross Save compatibility with the PS3 version, and two-player online co-op.

And remember Cell Damage? That cartoon destruction derby game that came out when every other game was cel-shaded? An HD port will be out on the European Vita store on May 14th. You can read more at the EU PlayStation Blog.
