A tactically sound move

Unsung Story makes Vita and 3DS stretch goals easier to hit, clarifies Kickstarter campaign

There's good news ahead if you're hoping to play Yasumi Matsuno's latest project Unsung Story on your 3DS or Vita.

An update to the Kickstarter campaign notes that the stretch goals for the two handhelds have been lowered significantly. Previously, the Vita port would be unlocked at $1.8 million while the 3DS port was set at $2.8 million.

The new target for the Vita is an even $1 million - which also adds Final Fantasy Tactics composer Hitoshi Sakimoto to the project - while the adjusted target for the 3DS version is now $1.5 million.

Sing it again

In a previous update, Playdek also cleared up some confusion about the two games that are going into Unsung Story.

The Kickstarter campaign is only for Unsung Story: Tale of the Guardians - the tactics game - while the card game announced back in September is in no way related to this campaign.

That card game's still coming out later this year, mind, and it'll serve as an introduction to the world of Unsung Story, but it's in no way contingent on the Kickstarter hitting any funding goals.

Hopefully that clears things up a bit. Now, if only it the Kickstarter had some gameplay footage to go along with the concept art...
