iPhone developer Pixel Mine just dropped us a line from its evil lair to tell us about a brand new dungeon crawler it’s working on called Underworlds.

The game looks to be something of a Diablo inspired action RPG, with some suitably gory and fantastical isometric visuals and plenty of ogres, mages and scantily clad warrior maidens. It’ll also feature a couple of different control systems, custom character attributes and randomised adventures.

The Underworlds story follows McTavish’s travelling caravan, of which you are the hired guard. When a village comes under demonic siege, only you can set the people free and put down the evil overlords.

We’d forgotten how much we’d missed the dungeon crawler genre until we saw a few of these lately. Looks like the epic sword and sorcery battle RPG is set to have an equally epic resurgence.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
