Each week, we ask members of our App Army for their feedback on the latest and greatest releases on mobile.

One top pick this week was Jonathan Topf's high-concept ball flicker Trick Shot.

Let's see what our App Army had to say...

Well, what can I say... I'm liking this!

It's not too hard so far, but it's starting to pick up the the pace. Hoping it continues to introduce different elements.

It's kinda sneaky that way. It seems really easy for a moment, then they toss some tough ones at you.

A ball launching game... why not? Although Trick Shot's use of physics, gravity, and bouncing is fun, the game is far too dull visually for my liking. Shame it has no music either.

The controls are simple, much like Paper Toss - you just slide your finger back and release to shoot. The levels are a bit simplistic, but I'm sure most people will have a short burst of fun before moving onto another game.

Trick Shot is a simple, yet fun game that can get a little... tricky?

The gameplay is minimalistic - shoot a ball into a box from different angles. While that sounds like many other games on the App Store, you'd be surprised at what you see in this game.

One aspect of the game I enjoy is the sheer variety of rubber balls that bounce into the boxes and off the walls.

There are also some quite challenging parts that essentially require you to play levels over and over if you want to get a perfect shot, which is done by bouncing the ball directly into the box.

While that sounds easy, you have to make sure not to hit the flaps of the box or the box itself or you'll find yourself with an "okay" rating. It's tough!

Overall, I really love Trick Shot and I can't wait to play more levels.

I managed to get through all the levels within an hour, although I didn't get perfect scores for every one.

I have to say that I rather enjoyed it - it's just a simple little game, but a lot of the time that's all you want for a mobile game.

There's a good deal of replayability here too. Once you have completed all the levels on normal / perfect mode you get to go back and play through them all over again in a kind of New Game+ mode.

This time however, you have to not only get the ball in the box perfectly, but also hit objects on the way to the box. This gives it a whole new perspective as you now have to plan your moves very carefully indeed.

At such a reasonable price it's a perfect little time waster.

The levels start out nice and easy, but boy are they ever tough later on.

Okay, I love this game. It's both simple and fun.

There isn't much to Trick Shot - it's an easygoing physics puzzler. Some people may find it odd that there's no music in the game. You'll only ever hear the sounds of balls bouncing.

Perfecting all 90 levels doesn't take too long, but a new challenge awaits after you complete the game, adding plenty of content and replayability. That said, its difficulty is perfectly balanced.

I didn't come across any bugs, glitches, or crashes. Also there are no ads or in-app purchases. This is one of the one of the better puzzlers out there. Highly recommended.

Trick Shot runs very smooth, with pleasing aesthetics, a simple premise, and solid physics puzzles. I found it getting a little stale later on, until the difficulty really began to increase.

I'd say if you're into quick-play skill games you should grab this one. Bear in mind that if it seems a little slow at first, keep going. It gets pretty tough, if you're always chasing a perfect score!

I'm afraid I'm not a fan of Trick Shot. While I do like unique physics puzzlers, I didn't find this one to be that special.

The physics are great, and I love how the balls change color every time you shoot out a new one. The sound effects are fun and very fitting too. Sadly, that's where my enjoyment ended.

The aiming can be frustrating, and the setting is mundane and repetitive. I really wish I enjoyed this game more, but it just didn't click with me.

The smiley face ball is my favourite.

Simple design and well thought out gameplay make Trick Shot a fun way to spend a few spare minutes.

The levels can be challenging, but I never felt cheated. My favourite mechanic of the game is the idea that in order to perfect a level, the ball cannot touch any part of the box before it enters.

This means your shots have to be very accurate to go straight in. It would be nice to see some more variation in the level design as it's pretty sparse overall.

I enjoyed playing Trick Shot - it has some neat quirks. It may not be a game changer, but it might put a smile on your face when you complete a particularly difficult challenge.

I'm really enjoying this. Almost completed all the levels in Amazing mode. That level 85 is tough!

Well I may be behind all of you (I'm only half-way through), but I love the way the levels differ as you go along, alongside the simplistic look of the game overall.

Boom!

Good job chanandler!

I have to say that I've really enjoyed Trick Shot. This is one of those games where more levels could be added easily enough.

I reckon I have dropped about four or five hours into the game to totally complete it, but what I liked most was how I could dip in and out without it affecting anything and still progress.

Agreed chanandler. It's great to have a game where I can pick up and play whenever I like, and it's not a huge drain on my battery like some recent vampiric games.

The has quite a range in terms of difficulty. There have been some levels where I've had to rely on blind luck to get through.

It's a shame there is no record and share option to this game. Missed opportunity really.

I don't think I'll be playing through this again once I complete it, but it's a fun game for a decent amount of time.

I'm a big fan of this game. I love the physics.

The levels are always challenging but never frustrating, making this one of the best balanced puzzlers out there.

The menus are fine, and switching between levels is seamless, which is not surprising to see from this developer.

The only thing the game's missing is good music. I would love a soundtrack behind this. Not complaining though, as I'm perfectly content listening to podcasts whilst playing this.

The little touches make this game. The sound when you make a perfect shot, and the ever changing ball themes. Each level is truly a puzzle, and mastering each one is the best feeling in the world.

Finally completed this little gem of a game. I don't think I'll go through it again like chanandler, but I really enjoyed reaching the end. Trick Shot's made with a little bit of magic and a whole lot of love.
