Torque Burnout is a game about driving a car in a silly fashion. Rather than being sensible and preserving your tyres you have to do skids and burnouts and donuts. You get points for these, and points mean a higher score. Obviously.
There are lots of buttons along the bottom of the screen. One makes you go faster, one makes you go slower, one makes you pull your handbrake. Then there are a couple for steering. Combinations of these perform dangerous stunts that you earn points for.
But for a game about nearly crashing your car every second, it's surprisingly flat. There's no real sense of speed, and the limited scope of the the tricks at your disposal means that you'll have seen everything the game has to offer after the tutorial.
Sure, you can chain them together in different ways, and buy more expensive cars that go faster and skid better, but it's hard to grasp why you'd bother doing that.
