Qbism - Blowfish Studios

Given that the Cubism movement revolutionised and inspirated so many artists and art forms, iPhone puzzler Qbism perhaps has too much to live up to. Its name is still cool as hell, though.

Critter Crunch - Capybara Games

Remember when your English teacher taught you about alliteration, and you chose to not listen? Capy clearly did, and Critter Crunch rolls off the tongue sweetly while staying relevant to the content.

Colorbind - Nonverbal

Colorbind is a puzzle game all about binding strips of coloured paper over the top of each other. See, the name is a clever play on words!

Canabalt - Semi Secret Software

One of those games with an 'interpretative meaning'. The whole name is very similar to the word cannonball, while the 'balt' bit suggests 'bolt', as in something or someone hurtling along like a bolt of lightning. Either way, it sounds awesome.

Zen Bound - Chillingo

Easy to decipher this one - Zen for the game's calm, meditative nature, and Bound since you're wrapping sculptures in rope. Put the two words together, and you're got yourself a great game title.

Flight Control - Firemint

Refers to an aircraft's flight control system, which is implemented to navigate the plane. Rather fitting for a game about guiding planes onto runways.

We Rule - ngmoco

Clever title from ngmoco and developer Newtoy - the first-person plural puts emphasis on the socialising elements of the game, making sure no-one is in doubt that this is an online experience.

Plants vs Zombies - PopCap Games

Does exactly what it says on the tin to satisfying and hilarious effect. Why would plants be used to stop an incoming zombie horde? Who cares, it sounds amazing!

Depict - Makeshift Games

The act of depiction is to represent something as a picture, which is precisely what Depict asks players to do. Another standout name that clearly had a lot of thought put into it.

Edge - Mobigame

It wouldn't be a top 10 best game titles list without this gem. If Mobigame hadn't gone with the name Edge, then we'd all most likely be oblivious to Tim Langdell and his ways.
