Tomb of the Mask is currently doing great business on both sides of the pond, with both iOS and Android gamers able to get in on the action.

This is a charming retro maze-runner with that essential just-one-more-go feel to it. What's more, it's completely free to play.

Plenty of you are already tuned in to Tomb of the Mask's delights. So where do you go next?

Try one of these six games. Each has something in common with Tomb of the Mask, whether that be a shared premise or a similar aesthetic. We think fans of Playgendary's arcade score-chaser will get on famously with each of them.

1
Pac-Man 256

Developer: Hipster Whale
Publisher: Bandai Namco
Available on: iOS + Android
Genre: Arcade, Endless running

Pac-Man 256

Tomb of the Mask clearly owes a huge debt to the original pellet-gobbling maze-runner. But the question is, which version of Pac-Man should you play on mobile?

You could go with the wonderful Pac-Man Championship Edition DX, but Pac-Man 256 will probably appeal more to the Tomb of the Mask fan. It's an inspired, Hipster Whale-developed endless runner take on the Namco classic.

2
EVAC

Developer: In-house
Publisher: Hexage
Available on: iOS + Android
Genre: Arcade, Retro

EVAC

This one's something of a forgotten oldie, but it's a good one. It's also a great pick for the Tomb of the Mask fan who wants to take a step into something slightly deeper.

Think of EVAC as Pac-Man busting out of his maze and going on an adventure. The levels are protracted, scrolling affairs, the pace isn't so manic, and there are switch puzzles to solve - all with a pleasantly familiar retro aesthetic.

3
Hopiko

Publisher: Laser Dog
Available on: iOS + Android
Genre: Platform

Hopiko

Let's pick the pace back up for a second, because Tomb of the Mask is certainly a speedy little blighter. If you want to maintain, or even increase, the intensity of your swipey dot-gobbling, check out Hopiko.

The levels here are far less constrained, and you get full control over the direction your character flicks off at. You'll need to be extremely precise to run these gauntlets, though.

4
Silly Sausage: Doggy Dessert

Publisher: Nitrome
Available on: iOS + Android
Genre: Casual

Silly Sausage: Doggy Dessert

Harry commented in his review that there was more than a dash of Nitrome to Tomb of the Mask, so it would be wrong if we didn't include one of the super-developer's games.

Silly Sausage: Doggy Dessert would seem to fit the bill, with its swipe-based transit system and mazey levels. Again, you're hoovering up little gems on the way to the level exit, but this time as a stretchy dog.

5
Downwell

Developer: Moppin
Available on: iOS + Android + Steam
Genre: Action, Platform

Downwell

Downwell is a good next move if you really dig Tomb of the Mask's uber-retro aesthetic and relentless 'get to the exit' drive.

It plays very differently though, like a combination of a 2D platformer and a vertically scrolling shooter. We defy anyone to not enjoy this wonderful arcade blast, though.

6
To-Fu Fury

Publisher: Amazon Games
Available on: iOS
Genre: Platform, Puzzle

To-Fu Fury

Tofu takes a similar premise to Tomb of the Mask and layers on a whole bunch of 21st century polish. Here you're flicking a lump of sentient tofu (no, really) around its levels, collecting blobs of chi.

The challenges are far more varied and fleshed out in To-Fu Fury, so it's a natural next step from the simple charms of Tomb of the Mask.
