Top-notch iPhone boardgame conversion Ticket to Ride Pocket updated with '1910' expansion pack

Tip-top boardgame conversion Ticket to Ride Pocket, the iPhone edition of the Gold Award-winning Ticket to Ride, has just received its first expansion pack.

Entitled 1910, the paid expansion adds three new modes, each offering a different variation on the game's strategic track-laying mechanic.

1910 Classic mode shifts the emphasis from route length to ticket completions, offering a bonus to the player who completes the largest number of tickets.

Tickets, please!

If it's fast-paced action you crave, however, then 1910 Cities may be the mode for you.

With travel restricted between only a few major cities, you'll have to work quickly to lay your tracks, secure your routes, and emerge victorious.

1910 Mega, on the other hand, expands the standard game significantly, bringing the regular 35 ticket destinations up to a steamy 69.

Players receive not three, but five route cards when the game begins, and the player with the most routes will scoop the big bonus.

High achiever

If that isn't enough to keep virtual railway enthusiasts entertained, Days of Wonder has also included ten new achievements for you to unlock.

You can buy the Ticket to Ride Pocket 1910 expansion pack as an in-app purchase for 69p / 99c. You can download the game itself from the App Store for £1.49 / $1.99.
