Apparently, Simolians (the game's currency) are going to be substituted for cold hard cash, allowing you to buy all manner of items in-game. Considering the massive number of add-ons, downloads, furniture, appliances, clothes and other goodies the previous
Sims games sported, this could become something of a virtual Ikea for EA.
You'll even be able to buy a
Sims 3 hi-fi and use it to play music stored on your iPhone. The boundaries of reality have never looked so thin.
