Making progress every day

The Elder Scrolls: Blades is a mobile game. I know, sorry to break the bad news to you, but it is, and therefore many of the typical mobile trappings are in place in order to coerce you into investing in microtransactions.

Wait timers and more surround the game, waiting for you to plough your real world cash into, but of course, part of the challenge of the game is being able to play through without investing, right?

As a result, one of the best ways to make progress is to simply log in daily - or even multiple times a day - in order to get the materials and gear you need to keep progressing.

One of the most obvious ways to do this is by opening chests, as you should know from our chest guide. Since then, Silver chests have been reduced to opening every hour instead of every three hours, meaning you can get through your supply of chests much faster than before.

If you have a stack of Silver chests, that means you can easily stock up on essential materials, gear and gems by logging in hourly and opening them up, and of course leaving bigger chests to cook overnight.

This is an obvious way to make progress, but there are several other ways in the game which will help you get further and stronger as fast as possible.

1
Shopkeeper stocks

Shopkeepers have their inventory changed every day, and as such, you should be investing in the necessary materials.

The obvious ones are Limestone and Lumber, which the Workshop will sell. You need these for every building and wall upgrade in the game. But all shops sell materials or potions which will help.

Don't be shy to invest, because throwing money at them will only give them more money to give to you when it comes time to sell all of that excess gear from Silver chests.

2
Free store

The game doesn't actually notify you about this, but every day there's a free item in the real-money store which you can use.

Even better, if it's a chest it opens instantly, so no longer wait times. The shop will even give Silver and Golden chests, in addition to materials and precious Scrolls of Revival.

Just jumping in each day and making sure to grab these items from the store will ensure you're much more capable when you decide to jump into those difficult quests.

3
Daily jobs

You already know there are Daily and Weekly jobs in the game, and these offer better rewards than the infinitely spawning jobs. So, of course, they're great for progress.

But even then, it's worth jumping into the game daily and doing a handful of other jobs. Since Silver chests open so much more quickly, you're likely to burn through chests fast.

Stocking up on chests will of course allow you to gain more gear, money, materials and gems, so ensure your chest stores stay high and you can keep unpacking prizes.
