Tapulous has released a brand new version of freemium rhythm game Tap Tap Revenge, bundling its enormous back catalogue of tunes into one brand new and fully upgraded app: Tap Tap Revenge 4.

Much like the developer's previous outings, Revenge 4 lets you download free and premium tracks for the in-game store and then tap along to the song with perfect timing to grab high scores, unlock achievements, and rocket up the leaderboards.

But this new app brings plenty of additions to warrant downloading a new version of the store front to your iPhone or iPod touch. It has a bold new visual style, with a completely redesigned interface, all done in high res graphics for the Retina display on the latest Apple devices.

There are more ways than ever to share your accomplishments amongst your social circle. You can go all Facebook and 'Like' tracks, you can get achievements through Apple’s Game Center and challenge friends on the global leaderboards, which feature up-to-the-minute highscores.

There are hundreds of tracks to buy on the store, from artists like Rihanna, Katy Perry, and Owl City, and over a hundred free ones to download too.

Plus, the new app comes with three completely free songs to get you started: ‘Waiting for the End’ by emo crooners Linkin Park, ‘Sing’ from My Chemical Romance and ‘House Music’ by sounds-like-an-ice-cream-brand Benny Benassi.

Tap Tap Revenge 4 is out now, for free, on iPhone and iPod touch. In app purchases generally cost between 59p / 99c / €0.79c and £1.79 / $2.99 / €2.39 for individual tunes, track packs and superficial avatar garments.

If that’s not enough tapping for you, the developer has slashed the prices of its most popular artist-specific apps. Revenge games for Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Metallica and Lady Gaga (and Lady Gaga 2) have dropped to 59p / 99c / €0.79c.
