Clash of Clans creator Supercell has cancelled another game. Snooker-style RPG Smash Land, which is currently in soft launch in Australia and Canada, will be killed off this September.

In a post on its forum, Supercell said "despite its popularity and positive feedback from players, it was proving difficult to reach the high standards set by our other games".

"We did not want to continue for the sake of continuing as that is not the Supercell way".

In-app purchases have been turned off and will fully shut down on September 1st. "We feel it is best to learn from what didn’t work, move on and put our efforts into making better games for you".

Previously, Supercell soft launched a puzzler called Spooky Pop. After a few months, the game was discontinued.

Supercell is responsible for Hay Day, Clash of Clans, and Boom Beach. But when those three games can make $1.7 billion in a year, do you really need a fourth?
