Swoop for Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP in summer solstice sale on iPhone

Both the iPhone and iPad versions of Capybara's fantastic Silver Award-bagging Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP are on sale today as part of a summer solstice promotion.

'Summer solstice sale??'

Yep, because this abstract blend of music and retro RPG gameplay was launched on the first day of spring 2011, its developer has deemed this one-day discount "chronologically & cosmologically inevitable".

The universal edition of Sword and Sworcery EP is, therefore, slashed from £2.99/$4.99 down to £1.19/$1.99, while the Micro iPhone edition of the game is reduced from £1.79/$2.99 to £0.59/99c.

Also, for music lovers enchanted by the game's lucid tones, the game's soundtrack - composed by Candadian singer-songrwriter Jim Guthrie - is available on a pay-what-you-can basis, rather than the usual £4.99 / $7.99 / €5.99.

We called Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP "a unique adventure game with an incredible sense of style".

See if you agree with us by downloading it now at this one-day only price.
