Super Spell Heroes is a puzzle game with a multiplayer twist. You might be matching coloured tiles - no surprise there - but only to defeat your enemies and win online.
Summoning up some special spells in Super Spell Heroes isn't too difficult, nor is putting up your defences, but if you drop your guard you're in for a world of hurt.

Match two
The important part of battle in Super Spell Heroes is the spells, of course, and how you cast them.
When you're greeted with some coloured squares, you can start at a spell icon. Usually a shield for a defensive move, a cross for a healing move, and something a bit more destructive for an offensive move.
Drag from the spell icon to any icons of the same colour, highlighting multiple. The more icons you use, the more powerful your spell will be. Simple at first, but hard to master.

Ultimate magic
As you progress in any one battle and use more spells, you'll gain access to far more powerful, ultimate spells.
You get there just by using multiple spells of that type, and of course you'll last in battle by timing your defensive magic, and healing when possible.
Since it's a real time battle system, waiting for more icons to drop and timing your moves can be very valuable.

More power
The base spells you'll get will serve you well enough, but if you really want to take apart online opponents, you'll need bigger and better spells.
Pop into your spell menu then, and as you earn treasures, chests, and clear quests, you'll gain more spells, which you can use to increase the base power of your moves.
You won't need to do this immediately, but if you fall behind you will start to struggle in battle.

Eyes on you
The interested real time battle system makes for a fun game, and when online against others, it requires a decent amount of wit and strategy, too.
You can see your opponent's board in the top left of the screen, and you can see what spells and icons they're highlighting, too, so you know when to get a defensive move prepared.
This also means that the enemy can see what you're doing, though. Patience is often key here, as is some smart moves.
