How to master the basics in Sci-Fi strategy game, Super Senso
|

Super Senso just launched in Europe and Latin America (as well as already being available in North America), bringing its epic mech battles (though you can bring cats, zombies, and some of your favorite pop culture characters into the fray, too) to more mobile games enthusiasts. This action-oriented strategic brawler packs quite a punch--lay out your units on a grid-based map and let them have at it. Raze your enemies with steely, unmoving tank units, or employ swift Scavenger units to flit across the battlefield and steal loot. There are lots of ways to play.

With that said, there are a few beginner’s tips you should keep in mind when you’re first starting out. Mastering these facets of the game will see you well on your way to building an unstoppable force of heroes.

Master the basics Super Senso offers the player a plethora of choices when it comes to building out a troop, but it’s important to understand the different types of units at play. Study up on these and then learn how they all work together to create balance and become truly unstoppable.
  • Entrenched units serve as your ranged units. They can either attack or move, but only one at a time. Let these characters bunker down in a strategic place and let them snipe at enemies from afar.
  • Armoured units are your tanks. They’ll soak up damage until their armour charge runs out. Plan accordingly though. Once their armour runs out, they’ll take damage normally.
  • Evasion units work much like the Armoured units, though they have a bit more staying power. Their armour recharges every turn.
  • Use Salvo units to take out your opponents’ tanks. These units can attack twice per turn, which means they are incredibly useful for taking out enemy armour.
  • Siege units, as you might have guessed, deal extra damage to buildings.
  • Be sure to loot Gel using your Scavenger units. These sneaky bandits get a bonus when thieving.
  • SENSO is your biggest, baddest unit, but you can only use it once per match. Play this card carefully, as once it’s gone, it’s gone.
Compete with others and join Strikes to earn awesome rewards

Super Senso values good, friendly competition, and it rewards folks who participate in multiplayer battles handsomely. During a 4-week season, if you earn 1600 Starpower or more by winning matches, you’ll get a Season Chest. You can also join in on shorter term Strikes and earn Daily Rewards. Win or lose, multiplayer also happens to be a great way to brush up on your skills.

And if you’re a little reluctant to aim for the Leaderboards right away, give Puzzles a try. These single-player challenges will help you master techniques not covered in the tutorials, and you’ll earn Bytecoins and Keystones to help you boost your deck’s power.

Complete card achievements to earn upgrades and unlock chests

Each of your cards has achievements, which will earn you Keystones when completed. Keystones can be used to buy chests and upgrade your cards. Each card has three tiers of achievements that can be pursued in battle. Make it a goal to complete these so that you can level up your units.

Save up your cards

With all of that said, you’re going to want as many cards as possible. Don’t toss out extra cards! Alongside Keystones, you’ll also need multiple cards of the same unit if you want to level it up, and trust us, you’re going to want to level up your cards. Upgrading your units increases your damage output and HP, and it gives experience to your account that will boost your SENSO-GATE and Extractors while improving laser strike damage.
