Super Monkey Ball goes live on iPhone App Store

Super Monkey Ball is one of the least surprising games on the App Store launch day, given that Sega has shown it off during two previous Apple events – the iPhone SDK launch and the WWDC conference keynote.

Still, it's good to see the game made it for launch day. Check the screenshot above for its purdy 3D visuals.

The game offers five worlds and 110 separate stages, with Sega claiming it should be fun for newbies and hardcore SMB-heads alike.

And yes, if you've missed the previous coverage, the game makes heavy use of the iPhone's motion-sensing capabilities, with you tipping and tilting the phone to roll that monkey around.

We can also confirm that the game costs £5.99 here in the UK – in fact, £5.99 seems to be the equivalent across the board to the $9.99 US price points, which is nice.
