Super Meat Boy Forever is back in development, as Edmund McMillen finishes up Fingered
Can't wait to meat you
Indie dev Edmund McMillen says he is now focused on mobile platformer Super Meat Boy Forever, after taking a break from game development, and working on barmy PC game Fingered.
He told Destructoid "Super Meat Boy Forever is back in development again and is my primary project at this point now that [Binding of Isaac DLC] Afterbirth is basically complete on my end and Fingered is [almost] out".
Forever is the long-awaited touch-friendly version of the uber popular Xbox Live Arcade platformer.
It's an all new game - to "avoid tacking bad controls on an existing design" - and is about aping the pinpoint precision and surprisingly deep moveset of Meat Boy, but without the use of multiple virtual buttons and sticks.
Despite the name, it's not an endless runner - but will have an endless mode.
As for Mewgenics, Team Meat's even longer-anticipated cat lady simulator: that is "on hold till after Forever is out", says McMillen, "the only target release is 'when its done'".
