Stickman Battlefields brings the arcade action to the jungle

First, there was Tarzan, the lord of the jungle. Then, there was George, the George of the jungle. And now, thanks to Austrian studio Djinnworks, you can be… the stickman of the jungle.

Djinnworks released Stickman Battlefields earlier this year, an arcade side-scrolling action game for iOS and Android. You control a bobble-headed stickman as he undertakes military campaigns around the world.

They usually involve a lot of shooting and blowing things up, the landscapes are dynamic and varied, and you can do everything from pilot a helicopter to parachuting off a cliff.

There’s also a fun multiplayer free-for-all, in which you roam around a map trying to take out up to 7 other players with a range of explosive weaponry and vehicles.

This latest update offers players a brand new jungle map to tackle, with lush, twisting vegetation and treetop enemy bases to destroy. The map is also available in the online mode, too, so you can compete with the world to be Stickman Rambo.

Oh, and if you found the previous weapons lacking in the mow-down-everything-that-moves department - you can get to grips with the brand new minigun!

Stickman Battlefields has been downloaded over 4.5 million times on iOS and Android. The jungle map and minigun will be the 51st update, with Djinnworks regularly turning to players for ideas on how to make the game even better. So I’d say it’s a safe bet this won’t be the last of the new content we get to enjoy.
