Sneaky puzzler Stealth Inc: A Clone in the Dark set to infiltrate iOS soon

Stealth Inc: A Clone in the Dark (née Stealth Bastard) is a puzzle game you need to play to appreciate.

As the name indicates, it pays to be stealthy as you make your way through the platform levels, but what might surprise you is what happens when you step out into the light.

Sometimes it's nothing, other times an alarm will flash, still other times you'll be zapped with a laser and disintegrated before you can cry foul.

It's all great fun, despite the difficulty, and now it's on its way to iOS devices thanks to Curve Studios.

Sneaky bugger

Sister site Pocket Gamer.biz has the details on the exact difficulties involved with porting the Vita platformer over to the world of iPhones and iPads.

(Hint: it involves having to play each of the 80 levels three different times whenever an edit is made.)

In our review of the Bronze Award-winning Vita version, we noted that Stealth Inc offers "tons of reasons to play again and again, including hidden objects to discover, secret levels to unlock, and online leaderboards based around how quickly you snuck through each level".

Unfortunately, some of the later levels were a bit dense and we likened them to "a corn maze from hell" - but difficulty's part of the charm, right?

If you're in the mood for a quirky, Minions-meet-GLaDOS style puzzler on your iPhone or iPad, you should definitely check out Stealth Inc: A Clone in the Dark when it launches on the App Store.

And if you're in the mood to learn more about the making of the game, head on over to PocketGamer.biz to read the full story.
