Compared to last week it's a bit of a quieter one in terms of releases. We've still got the likes of Stardew Valley, Trivia Crack 2, and Euclidean Skies to dive into, so there's no complaining here.

Here we are again at the brink of another weekend and, what's this? The site looks different? I'm sure you've noticed by now, but yes Pocket Gamer has had a bit of a makeover. I wasn't here last time since I was off on a lovely, chilled out holiday, but there's no place like home. I guess by 'home' I mean back with you guys and a list of new games.

1
Axolochi

If you've been craving that next digital pet to keep all loved up on your phones, you might want to get yourself an Axolochi (it's an axolotl). Gosh, HyberBeard has managed to make these creatures super cute and hopefully they won't be as annoying as the recent Tamagotchis.

Feed, bathe, pet, and watch your axolotl grow from babies through teenagers and onto adults. Oh, and you can collect a bunch of them in all sorts of colours, including a mythical dragon one, if you're lucky.

Candies 'n Curses

Fight off grisly ghosts as Molli Pop in a huge, haunted mansion. The Phantom King's got it in for you, but you're in no sugar rush to get out of there. No way, you've got your flashlight and maybe even a few spectral friends to help you out.

Of course, you can change out and upgrade your flashlight using charms, and you can enhance Molli as well to give her different abilities and power-ups. Sweet!

3
Cartoon Network Party Dash

If you watch Cartoon Network, odds are you'll recognise some of these characters. Don't worry, we won't judge you if you don't, but you don't really need to in order to enjoy this cartoony racer.

In a mixture of racing, dashing, and smashing, you need to dart through obstacles and enemies on your way to the level's end. Once you've filled your combo metre you'll get to unleash an awesome display of speed. Don't forget to trade in your coins for upgrades at the end though.

Euclidean Skies

We've been talking about it all week and Euclidean Skies is finally here. Sound familiar? You might've played the first in its series, Euclidean Lands, and hopefully loved it. This time around it's gone airborne and if you've got an AR-capable device you're really in for a treat.

Shift, rotate, and manoeuvre the structures to unlock their secrets in this turn-based puzzler. Be on your toes, though. You'll go up against ferocious bosses and earn special achievements for being more determined than the average player.

5
Ghostbusters World

Who you gonna call? Well, no one while you're playing Ghostbusters World since you're already using your phone, dummy.

Whether you've dreamt of being a Ghostbuster since you donned your first onesie or just need an excuse to play another AR game, you'll probably find what you're after right here.

6
PAKO Forever

Even if you haven't played the original PAKO game yet it doesn't matter. PAKO Forever's here to give you the very same flavour, only with an endless parking lot as your playground.

In its belly you've got power-ups, bonus items, secret areas, and lots of surprises in store for you. You've also got the choice of playing in portrait or landscape mode, which may not seem like a big deal (but it is), and you'll never play the same map twice. I say.

7
SHUMP

Sure, it sounds like some sort of life-saving move that might dislodge a piece of food, but SHUMP is a platformer all about slick moves and dodging bullets… or bombs or bosses. There's a set of 11 different characters to choose between, each with their own powers to freshen up the game, easy controls to play one or two-handed, and plenty of bad guys to take on as you go.

Stardew Valley

You've heard me go on and on about this plucky little farming simulator by now, but I'll say it again. This is a great game for short sessions or for spending hours on at a time. You'd be surprised how long it takes to take care of your farm and chat up the villagers, but you'll love every second of it.

9
Tesla vs Lovecraft

When Nikola Tesla's best invention is destroyed by H.P. Lovecraft's horrific minions and his laboratory sacked, the rulebook is out the window and gloves are coming off. Along with your Tesla-Mech battle robot, it's time to kick minion butt (and not the yellow kind).

Take on eldritch monstrosities and defy the old gods with will and science through Story and Survival modes. And boss fights – lots of boss fights.

Trivia Crack 2

It's likely you've played Trivia Crack before, but just in case you haven't it's a trivia game (duh) where you'll have thousands of questions to answer across six categories, compete with friends and family, and enjoy some user-based questions too.

Bear in mind that in order to actually play the game you need to sign into the app with your email or through Facebook, so give this one a miss if that's not really your jam.
